One more thing before the end of this day.............Since I don't seem to have enough to do - hee hee - I thought I would add another project to my list. I know some of you have joined in the Quilt-Along over at Old*RED*Barn and I did, too. I remember when Dana of Old Red Barn offered her giveaway last year for a summery looking quilt and now she is going to guide everyone along as she makes this quilt again. She's having a few drawings as she goes along, too, and there is an ultimate prize of a sewing machine! If you want to join just click here and you'll be at the Old Red Barn Blog. I just posted my fabric choices to the Quilt-Along Flickr group. Here they are.............
All the fabrics are from my stash and are all favorites that were waiting for some special project. This one seemed to be it! I am only a bit unsure about the purply green floral on the right. What do you think? Keep or replace? The style of this quilt is probably "out of my comfort zone" but I think I need to "spread my wings". I am loving the fabrics I picked and can hardly wait to get started!
So, let's see........I'm making new blocks in my own BOM series, also making the Bunny Hill blocks, have two little Pat Sloan projects in progress, and as my friend, Laura, knows I am still working on the house blocks from HGTV's "Strolling the block" quilt from a couple of years ago. And then there is the 365 Day quilt started with my Daystitcher's group, and the Christmas squares exchanged with my Tuesday Crazies group, and then the Thimbleberries quilt I started in 1998, and the list goes on!! Obviously, I am never bored!!
However, it is time for a late night snack! See you tomorrow.

I'm amazed again, you are one busy women....I love the fabric...Now go get some sleep...
I think the quilt along is such a great idea! Can't wait to see next week's instructions...
PS Happy One Year Blogaversary!
I think that fabric on the right would need to be used in such a way as to be a real "punch" or else the purple part of it might be distracting, but....I'm not great at color choices, so others might have better comments.
It's funny but when I first looked at the "small" picture in your posting, I didn't even notice the fabric on the right. Clicking on the picture, I didn't have the "ooooo" feeling. However, I assume you do need the contrast and it does "go" with the others. As Pat said it can be used for the punch factor but sparingly....IMHO. I tried to find a picture of the quilt but with my slow dial up I gave up trying to load the Red Barn blog.

I'm thinking it's too dark with the other fabrics and will draw the eye to itself whereever it is in the quilt, domineering the others. I'd change it. So, with conflicting thoughts, what to do? I love all your other choices...it'll be pretty and feminine. I'm using batiks in mine and am not going to like it as well as others who are using those beautiful florals and lighter colors, but I wanted to use stash, and I"ve been hoarding those batiks long enough! Get them in a quilt and give it away if it doesn't speak to me...the colors should be deep and 'interesting' though.
haven't checked out the quilt yet, but if it has cornerstones, a border, or prairie points that would be a perfect use for that fabric. otherwise use it on the back and the binding.
I really don't like pink and it's my least favorite color along with purple, but these combined fabrics are gorgeous, Sandi! Almost, but not quite, enough to make me a convert!
Sandi, I love your choice of fabrics. Even the one you are not sure about. I think it will look great in that mixed up design.
I would love to do a project like this, but I have no connection for machine quilting and I can't do it by hand. I already have two quilts that need finishing so I better not add another!
I'll enjoy watching your quilt come together.
