Yep, I goofed. I am only just learning about this pre-posting thing which allows you to type your blogpost and then set a time that you want it to be displayed. Sometime after midnight on Sunday night, I finished typing my Monday post. Then I clicked "publish post" and forgot that I wanted to have it post with a Monday header and date. After all, it was all about Monday being Washday, right? Well, about five minutes ago, I discovered my mistake. I posted it with the Sunday header instead of preposting it for Monday. Each time we make a mistake we learn from it, right? That means that next Monday, I will post on Monday which is Washday and you will see what I have "on the line".
At first, I couldn't figure out what had happened. I thought I might have entered "The Twilight Zone". Monday was missing!! That reminds me..........I wasn't allowed to watch that show when I was a kid. It was deemed "too scary". How about you, if you had a TV were you allowed to watch ..... or not?
Thunderstorms are in the area so I am going to shut down the computer until they pass.................

A little edit......thanks to Mary Grace at Hooked on Needles, I now know that I can also correct a date on a post. Still learning..........

Fusible makes it fun and easy!
This morning I got my daily update from Bradie over at Quiltcetera (also known as "A Quilty Kind of Girl") and it was about the product MistyFuse . I have used the product and really liked it. I had a hard time finding it and what I bought sometime ago is all used up! Brady is having a contest and the winner gets five yards of it. I am not shy about this. I decided that to add chances to possibly winning the Misty Fuse that I would post about it right now. Plus when I was visiting other blog favorites this morning, there was a post from Pat on her blog that was asking for any advice we might offer on fusibles. So I e-mailed Pat the link. Now I'm going to go add my name to the drawing for Bradie's giveaway. I have just decreased my chances of winning by telling you all about this but I hope you visit her site anyway. :-)

Short and sweet.......
That's what this post will be as this might be the latest at night, or the earliest in the morning, that I have ever posted. I am just about to turn out the lights after having a great night at a quilt-in and I didn't even leave the house!! The members of my Seasons BOM group joined me for an on-line quilt-in and wow! did we have a fun night chatting. Some folks actually sewed and posted photos! There were prize giveaways, too. I had fabric and some little cookbooks to give away and another member, Barb, also shared some fabric and patterns so there was lots of anticipation for who would win the prizes offered each hour or so. It kept me very busy tallying up the names to put in the drawings. Plus, I had to snack occasionally and I had to let the dog out a couple times. Otherwise, he slept through all the fun. I managed to make a little something and I will use it alot. So, would you like to see what I made at the Quilt-In........
A coaster!! That was all I could get done but as I said "I'll use it alot!" There will be a "mugwrap" to match if my little project works out. If not, it will go in the scrap bag. That bear on my mug is reminding me that I best get to sleep. I'm betting I'll sleep really well tonight! :-)

Monday, November 2
I can't believe it's really November!
It really hit me today that in only a few weeks it will be Thanksgiving and then Christmas!! Time just goes too fast it seems. I enjoyed getting that hour back this past weekend and because I was preparing to go to Iowa to see my mom, I got all caught up on laundry, cleaned my house, prepared some meals for my husband since I'd be gone, etc. etc. I even gathered some projects to take along to work on while I was there but now it will be a couple more weeks before I go to see her and stay for a bit. She's doing well and I appreciate your prayers.
My mom doesn't have a computer so she doesn't read my blog but she knows that I post my stitching and quilting adventures here and that I talk about her and family members, etc. etc. I'm not sure she'd want me talking about her health all the time, though, so I think from now on, I'll just let you know when a little prayer or kind thoughts are needed. When we get together in a couple of weeks, I'm going to take her to the library and show her my blog so she can see what it is and then I'll let her decide what she'd like me to share.
I am pretty tired tonight so think I will head off to bed. With a clean house and no laundry to do, and no meetings or anything on the calendar, I have the entire rest of the work to work on my own projects. I can work on my Seasons BOM blocks!! I can also work on a new project that I am offering on Wooly Buddies for a 15 month Seasonal Wool Throw. You'll find buttons with links on the left side of my blog that will take you to the groups where the blocks are posted. So, while I can't believe it's November already, it is nice to know I have some extra time to work on projects that I wasn't expecting to have! Hope that makes sense!
Good night and see you all tomorrow!

Been a little busy..........
This last week has been crowded with lots of stuff! I have pictures to share and much to tell. I'll be doing that later this afternoon and through tomorrow. This coming week is also going to be "crowded with lots of stuff" and then all the "comings and goings" will come to an end. I've decided I don't like being on the road in our crazy wintery weather and am going to make my plans differently from Nov. to March. The internet is going to be where you'll find me, either here on my blog or in my Yahoo groups. I have lots of patterns and fun stuff to share. I'm experiencing some computer glitches, though, that are causing me some grief. Bear with me and I'll get this worked out.
In the meantime, here's a "goodie box" that I received from my blogging friend, Pat.

I'll take the box of "goodies" to our next crazy quilting meeting and we'll have fun sorting through it!!
This post was a test, of sorts. I am able to load pictures in blogger so this tells me that my computer issues are limited to my Yahoo groups/e-mail. Hmmmmm. I wish I were smarter at this computer stuff.
Back later. Time for lunch.

Party Time!
I have been partying since I last posted. First, I met two new friends who are in the "Crazy About Pincushions" Yahoo group and we had great fun together. Pictures coming soon........
Then it was a birthday party for our son-in-law.........and then it was an afternoon of great quilty fun at the "Quilts in Bloom" show. Lots of pictures of that to post. I was busy with family things and never got to picking out which pics to post. I'll be back by Sunday evening with lots of photos and cool things to see. In the meantime, Sunday is the first day of Summer here in the U.S. so get out there and enjoy the day. Plus, it's also Father's Day so there are plenty of reasons to get away from the computer and go have some fun! Enjoy the day wherever you are!

So much to tell you but no time to blog!
I have been sewing all day on the quilt for the Emma's Hope Fundraiser and it's still not quite done. I wanted it finished tonight but I just couldn't make it happen. The dog was sick again this morning so my day got off to a rough start. Steve and I had to take turns taking him out and I didn't even try to go to church. It was after 1:00 before I got back to sewing.
There's good stuff to tell you when I share about last week's quilt program and visits to quilt shops. Then tomorrow night (Monday) I have another program to do, so there will be more to tell. I have lots of pictures (although I haven't had time to load them onto the computer) and I brought home lots of fun vintage things that you will all enjoy plus an autograph quilt top that is so unique and it's mine. My cousin, Shirley, gave me this family piece as no one wanted it in her family. I was thrilled!! And my grandson had a great birthday last night and he loved his gifts so that was good fun. And good cake, too, made by his Aunt Mandy who is a cake decorator. More on that when I finally post for real. It will be late Monday night or Tuesday before I will find time to load photos and type up a post.
It was a nice day here today and supposed to be even nicer tomorrow. Love that spring sunshine and warm temps!
Gotta get some sleep now.
