1 – 200 of 275 Newer› Newest»When I was little my parents had 7 children, we didn't get TONS of gifts we got one outfit, one gift of our own, and one family gift. My favorite gift ever was a family gift.. out new dachshund Scooter! He was a sweetie to put up with 7 children for 17 years.
What a pretty fabric line! My favorite gift was a Baby Krissy doll I got when I was 5. She had hair that could grew, or shorten, and she was big, like a real baby with moveable arms and legs and head. I could put her in my old baby clothes - I played with her for years!
My mom would start "stealing" money from her grocery fund starting every September...we never realized how much hamburger we ate the last 4 months of every year...lol My favorite year wasn't about the gift but the first time I got to help put all the gifts out for the younger kids...So much fun to see how she stacked them just perfectly so it looked like each kids stack was the same size...it was an art...
What sweet, sweet fabric! My favorite Christmas present was a doll. I don't remember her name, but she was the one ... OH WAIT! I see in krisgray's comment she had the same doll!!! I don't think mine was Baby Krissy, though -- I think it was a different one in the same line? I loved that doll. My sister and I each got one that year -- I think my sister got Krissy. I even remember taking her to the doll hospital when something broke. :)
I think I was about 6 years old and I got a pair of beautiful red shoes. I have a pair of red shoes now and love them. Must be something to do with red!
Great fabrics! What a nice giveaway! My most favorite Christmas gift was a record player that had lights on the front that pulsed to the beat of the music. How I loved to play Beatle records on it!

My most memorable Christmas gift was my youngest sister. My father was in the Navy and we were stationed in Japan at the time. The day after Christmas our family flew to Korea with the intention of adopting a baby girl. Honestly, we were given a catalog of kids awaiting homes to pick from, and to me it was like the Sears Wish book. Best gift ever!
My most memorable Christmas gift was when I was 7 and received a basset hound puppy. We named him Pagliacci (the name of an opera about a sad clown). Thanks for the opportunity to enter your great giveaway!
My favorite gift was a doll called Nancy. She has tall hair and I loved play with her.
Those fabrics are beautiful
The best gift I received a a transistor radio when I was 10. I am participating in this giveaway as well, come on over. Thanks.
One of the most fun gifts I got was an record album from my brother.
He wrapped up a piece of wood with a clue on it which took me to other clues and eventually to stand inside my own closet and look up above the door jamb where he had balance the long play record...good disguise job eh? It was a Stevie Wonder album.
Love to fabrics, wish me luck!
Oh my, I loved my baby doll! My mother even embroidered her name across her cloth back so it wouldn't get mixed up with my 3 sisters' dolls! And she came with a wicker basket to carry all her 'stuff' which was a change of clothes, and anything else I could find around the house for her! Wonderful memories!

One year, when I was 12, I got a most coveted pair of white Barbara Ann Scott figure skates. I was so thrilled. I skated everyday throughout the holidays. Whether it was on the river, at a local rink, or on a puddle of ice, those skates hardly ever left my feet.
Love the fabric. Great colours. Thanks for the generous giveaway.
Oh, wow......not easy to recall that far back, but I do know I was thrilled to have a chalkboard fastened to the wall of our basement play area. I so enjoyed playing teacher and.....I eventually became a teacher, for real! I depleted a lot of my Christmas fabrics when making my scrappy pineapple chunk quilt, so it would be nice to replenish my stash with these nice fabrics!
I remember one Christmas when my older sister gave me her stereo record player. It dates me, I know. But to me, it meant I had "grown up". I was a teenager and in my eyes I was ready to take on the world!
A train set from my dad. Even though my mom wanted me to be a girly-girl, my dad understood that I was too much of a geek.
I received a doll that looked and felt like a real newborn. Still have her, she must be about 60 now. Still looks like a newborn.
Have a God Filled Day
Shirley
Gosh, looking back I think I was pretty much spoiled as a child! I had a lot of great gifts. I remember getting a huge set of magic markers and a great big poster with butterflies and flowers that you colored in. Also remember when I got a stereo with an 8-track player and a Foreigner 8-track. I bet I played that thing a gazillion times! I'm old!
Wonderful sleigh, Sandi. I think my best gift was a bride doll when I was 8 years old. I wanted one so badly, but money was tight. My mom took one of my old dolls and had it remade with new hair and a bride's dress. I still have it!
This is such a sweet fabric line!! Thanks for your generosity!! My favorite gift was a box full of a dozen plus of different socks - what a hoot!
I am having so much fun reading your comments on Christmas gifts!! I love the memories!
I remember Christmas when we had very little as my mother supported us three children on her own. She worked 2 jobs to do it. between the jobs she had three 1/2 days a week off and on Christmas we had her at home with us for the whole day.I rember the year that I recieved a red sweater for christmas as I wanted one very much.
My favorite Christmas as a child was when I got a handmade wardrobe made by my Dad for my Barbie. It was out of wood with drawers and a hanging bar. On the hanging bar and in the drawers were all handmade clothes for Barbie made by my mother. I still wonder how in the world she got those little tiny sleeves set in.
I truly wish I could remember my childhood but....I do remember I had paper dolls at some time in my life and I loved making and coloring clothes for them. Hope that counts as I don't remember gifts. Now I just plain love colorful fabric. The brighter the better. It is wonderful to have so many choices of fabric. Thanks your for the opportunity to win the fat quarters. Quilty Hugs
lovely fabric. Sandra from Utah (seasons BoM)
When I was a kid I always wanted a stuffed animal as big as me. Finally one Christmas morning, there he was. A tall dog dressed in overalls and hat and he was just as big as me. I was so happy.
When i was young and came from a family of 12 iwanted ice skates.I think i would have died if i didn't.And yes i did .

I remember one year when I left milk and cookies for Santa on our piano bench. The next morning the milk and cookies were gone and in their place was a beautiful porcelain doll in a purple dress. Purple is my favorite color.
Love the fabric. What lovely memories. Money was was very thin, at our house. My best gift was learning some of the best gifts are not always bought. We spent one Christmas making everyone homemade gifts. Mother made doll clothes my sister's and me. She would stay up at night after everyone had gone to bed and work at her old treadle sewing machine.

I love that little sleigh. That alone is quite a prize. The fabric is so adorable, and I need it! I don't have any memories of Christmases before my mother died when I was nine. After that, Christmas wasn't the same, but there was a wonderful one when I was a young mother. My husband gave me the HO gauge train I had wanted all my life. =)
The best gift I ever got was a shoe box full of hand-made Barbie Doll clothes from my Aunt Korlas. There were velvet evening gowns and pretty dresses with lace. I still have the clothes even though they are nearly worn out by the time I outgrew Barbie.
My favorite Christmas gift was cross country skis. I had tried it out and loved it. I went on to be on the High School team - I was never a great skier but I loved it.
hmmm, all childhood memories are blocked due to tragedy. Soooo...how about I tell you my favorite gift that I gave a child...I gave my daughter a beautiful paint pony. We kept her at a friends house...went to clean stalls for them while they were out of town for Christmas...but they really weren't. They had the pony all ready with a huge red bow around her neck.
Out of stories, except the one that I post my winning those fat quarters....giggle.
My very best Christmas gift was hand sewn clothes for my Ginny doll! My mother outdid herself, and they were beautiful!
Count me in, please :)
So about a gift... the sweetest gift in my childhood... It was a toy-dog made with fur. Real fur - it was so soft!
Best wishes from Russia :)

The sleigh and fabric are beautiful.
My favorite gift I rceived was an 18kt gold ring with a tear drop shape jade stone in it. I was 10 years old. We went to the movie on Christmas night and I was wearing my new ring and thought I was a big girl now that I had real jewelry. When we got home from the movie, the stone in my ring was gone. I was crushed. My mom called the theatre the next morning and they checked the vaccuum bags, and looked for it. No luck. Well, 42 years later, I am wearing the same ring with an amethest stone in it now. I had saved this setting for all of these years and I put it on during the holidays and it brings back alot of memories.
My favorite gift was my last doll. She wasn't to play with. She sat on my bed for years. I still have her. Great giveaway, thanks for the chance!
Hi Sandi,
I guess my best gift ever was a mixed CD my husband (boyfriend at the time) gave me. He even made a custom cover with pictures of us. It was very romantic ;)

What a fabulous giveaway!
My most favorite gift as a child had to be my doll that had a button on her back. You could push the button and pull on her hair to make it long. Then you pushed another button and it would get short again.
I have now given the doll to my daughter. Hope she takes care of it for the next 40 years.
Please come and visit my blog to see what I have up for grabs!
My favourite gift as a child was a walky talky doll that my mum dressed in a wedding outfit that she made herself. A much treasured doll.
I remember being about 6 and sneaking downstairs before anyone else was awake. Santa left a shoebox which had the top wrapped separately from the bottom so I could open it without leaving any evidence (LOL). the box was filled with Barbie clothes and I probably played for 1/2 an hour before going back to bed. I remember a neighbor trying to tell me there was no Santa and I responded with "there's no way my parents could ever afford all the presents we get"!! Thanks for the giveaway and Merry Christmas.
I just retold this on another blog, but I remember one year (I'm an only child- so spoiled? yeah probably)I got this small black pouch with an oil bottle and something else in it and I thought it was the weirdest gift, then my parents led me out to the garage and there was a brand new BIKE!! I was so happy I cried! it was purple and turqouise.... I loved that bike
Lovely fabric - we got very few gifts when we were young but what we did get was so appreciated. I remember getting a jacket one year - how proud I was of that jacket.
What cute fabrics. My childhood memories have gone all foggy. But I do remember asking for and getting a sewing machine for graduation
The best gift I ever got for Christmas as a child was the She-Ra castle and 12 of the dolls that go with it. I played with that thing for hours and hours :) happyquiltingmelissa (at) gmail (dot) com

My best gift was a blue bicycle when I was 10. Not a hand me down but BRAND NEW!!! I was the happiest girl in the world. Great giveaway - thanks for the chance to win.
Very generous giveaway! Thank you!
My favorite gift was when I was 3. I got a baby doll from Santa and since Santa gave her to me, her name was Santa Clause Doll. I still have her. Oh, she has lost most of her hair....My mom said I loved it right off...And her body bears many surgeries (she had to be sewn back together many times). She sits on a shelf in my sewing room, watching me work. I adore her....
My favorite Christmas...I got this doll with long flowing hair that I could comb....hmmmmmmmm.\\thank you for this.
My favorite Christmas gift was the year my sisters and I got a small table and chairs set along with the game, Monopoly. We spent so many hours at the table playing that game.

As a child my favorite gift was a Thumblina doll. She was soft and played music and her head gently moved.
I love Jacqueline Steve's designs! Thanks...
The best gift? - easy. A kitten from my brother.
My favorite gift was my big, blue bicycle. I rode it for years and years. If you'd like to see how happy I was, you may view the photo on Flickr of a happy girl getting acquainted with her new bike.

What a great giveaway.
My favorite gift as a child was a 'long' dress from my grandma and grandpa. They were all the rage back then.
My most memorable gift was a set of luggage when I was in my early teens. My parents hid the luggage with all my wrapped gifts inside them since the luggage was too big to wrap. My sister and brother kept unwrapping gifts and there were only a couple under the tree for me from my grand parents. Eventually my parents led me to the luggage and then everyone else had to watch me open the presents inside!
My most memorable gift is a bicycle :)
It's from my grandpa, but he passed away 2years ago. Miss him...
Thx for the giveaway!
my best gift as a child was my Bible. Money was real short but my momma and daddy gave it to me when I 12 years old. Thank you for a chance at winning your give away
I would have to say that my most wonderful present was my baby brother, born near Christmas. My mother had several miscarriages and then he came along and he was so precious! Since I was the eldest girl, he became "my baby doll". We are still very close to this day!
Merry Christmas to you and yours,
Nettie
My favorite Christmas present was when I got my own Barbie dolls! I already had Skipper. But my older sister had Barbie. I was glad to finally be 'old enough' for Barbie and Ken! I would love to win. Thanks for offering.

What a generous giveaway. Thank you so much. My favorite gift was a tape recorder and my favorite uncle sang "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" into it. Hugs
What a splendiferous giveaway! I would love to have this wonderful fabric. :0)
I will never forget this gift that I received as a child (actually a young teenager). I got a record player (I'm dating myself here!) and a double album of The Supremes. LOL I was sooo excited. :0)Not sure why my parents picked the Supremes album, but I did like it.
I love boxes, all kind of boxes but my favorites are the musical ones. Many years ago, I was 7 or 8, my parents gave me a music box with a ballerina inside. It was one of my best Xmas ever. I still have my music box and I treasure it.

Thank you for the chance to win!
I don't remember much of my childhood, so sadly I don't remember my favorite gift as a child. But I do remember my favorite as an adult.
My younger daughter, who is now 11, makes home made gifts for everyone, every single year. I treasure all those homemade gifts. She creates the patterns on her own, and designs them, and creates them. I truly admire her creativity.
Thanks

My favorite part about the Christmas season is being with family and having Christmas stockings. We still have them at my folks and I am well into middle age.
I love your red sleigh and the snowmen fabrics are charming.
Thanks for participating in the blog hop.
Regards from Western Canada,
Anna
This is oh so sweet! I love Christmas fabric! My best gift ever was when I was a child. My mother wrapped a shoe box in pretty paper and filled it with art supplies. I remember keeping all of my pencils and paints in the shoebox for years! Happy holidays! ♥
The best gift I ever got as a child was any book I ever received! I always loved reading and my family knew it. :)
The best gift I recieved as a child was a red beaded clutch. We were supposed to be moving to another state that year (and be on the ferry boat on Christmas) but it didn't end up happening. My Aunt who lived far away sent it to me and I loved it. I still do--though I'm not much of a purse person. I just love running my fingers over all those beads.
OK...I'm 57 years old, but still a child and my favorite gift was a one hour flight in an ultra light!
thanks!
Oh my goodness that was such a long time ago...I don't know if I had a favorite but I do remember a walky talky doll. Thanks for the giveaways you do, they are alot of fun.
When I was eight I got a game called Mastermind, it was a game that ran on batteries witch was a big thing back then. I loved that game because it only took one kid to play. I played with it till it just quit one day but I kept it till I moved out on my own then my mom got rid of it and I have never been able to find another one and I have looked. Thank you for such a nice giveaway and Happy Holiday to You and Yours.
One of my favorite gifts was a pair of skates...I felt so free skating around the park with the wind in my hair!
In addition to Barbie, which I already loved, I had got a doll called "Tressy" where you could pull out her hair to ridiculous lengths! I still remember my mom trying to do my hair (I had long ringlets!) while I styled my dolls hair at the bathroom sink!
thanks for the chance to win. My favorite gift was a bunch of little gifts that led from my bed room to the tree downstairs. it was magical!
Oh I love to answer this one!! My favorite present...well when I was about 10 or 11 I got a boa (not snake but a feathery long strand thingy) from my eccentric maternal grandmom. I also got a cassette player from my mom. Well, the player came with some music. Little did my mom know the music the player came with was the "Stripper" by David Rose. I spent the entire Christmas Day pretending I was a stripper with my music & boa...My mom was horrified. I was kept busy for the day. I am laughing as I type this! It is so true!!
Happy Holidays to all! And to all a quilt night!
Sandi: I am already a follower, and my most favorite on your Blog is The Tribute To Melvin!!!
While it wasn't a direct gift to me, it was a gift to my dying uncle (a male nurse)! A poem written by my husband to my beloved uncle who always worried about his children whom he cared for, you see these children were all physically disabled from one horrible disease or another. On my Uncle's last Christmas morning the poem was read to him by one of his doctors and while we all watched and listened all with tears, my beloved uncle cried the hardest of all (for his children). While it was not my gift under my tree, it was the best gift I ever had, and the title of the Poem which immortalizes nurses everywhere is simply called The Christmas Box! Thanks for sharing Melvin with us as I am sharing this memory with you.
Beautiful fabric line. I remember getting a teddy bear as a child..I must have been five or six. I loved that little bear but when we moved off the farm when I was 11 years old (1957), the bear disappeared. It was after my mother passed away in 1994 and my sisters were cleaning out the house that my teddy bear was found in the trunk in the basement. I never knew she had kept it all those years.
My b-day is three days before Christmas. My mom would have me pick one of the presents from under the tree as a b-day present. I hated it and certainly felt jipped.
However the best gift ever was a sewing machine...used...but worked.
I just love snowmen, but mostly the kind you can keep in your home!
We've been having more and more snow here in New Jersey, and I dislike it, but LOVE this fabric :)

I was wanting a pair of white boots, just like the ones the head baton twirler wore in our local Christmas parade . . . my mom would say no, no, no . . . but on Christmas Day, my dad gave me a box - he had hidden it in his car - I got my boots! Thanks for an opportunity to win such lovely fabric!

What beautiful fabric! Thank you for your lovely giveaway :) I received the audio cassettes of Anne of Green Gables one Christmas and listened to them every night for years afterwards! I recently downloaded the same version as an audiobook and listened to them while stitching away - a nice trip down memory lane :)
Love the fabrics, I haven't seen many nice ones in our stores. My favorite gift was my first pair of real skates, not hand me downs but real skates from a store, which was a big deal in my family.

My favorite gift was a mini keyboard from my grandparents. I used to learn songs and play it for them on the phone. When I was older, my parents got me a real keyboard!
Lovely give away - and also from a family of 7 children. Things were usually very tight budget, so the best gift ever when a young child was a rocking horse from my grandparents - I was horse crazy (and became my profession) from then on.
The best gift I received was a beautiful Madame Alexander doll.

Came from Quilting Gallery...
Favorite childhood Christmas gift is easy. I was about 7 years old and had always been fascinated with Grandpa's trains, and one year while opening gifts we suddenly heard a train running upstairs. Grandpa asked me to go turn it off for him. But when I got upstairs the train that was running wasn't in the "train room", it was in MY ROOM! And in each car he had placed a card so that as the train passed, it said, "Merry Christmas Love Grandpa.." It's been almost 40 years, and I still own that train. I don't have room for a train set right now, but my Father In Law does. My train from Grandpa resides on My father in laws tracks so that it can be run regularly and kept in good shape. The worst thing for an old train is for it to sit and not run...
Thanks for the chance to win!

That fabric line is adorable for Christmas - thanks for the giveaway!
I have to say that my favorite Christmas gift as a child was a CD player/stereo. I had just moved into a new room to accommodate a baby brother, and having that new stereo made my feel so much older and cooler! I also got a Hootie and the Blowfish CD to go with it, and played that thing to death!
My favorite was a baby alive doll. I fed it but hated changing the diapers. Maybe that's why I never had kids!
Hello I am Aimee. My favorite gift was the year I got my "big kid" bike. It was a five speed pink mountain bike :)
Thank you for the chance!
Those fabrics sure are lovely. My favorite gift was a kid's sewing machine that I got one year for Christmas. Mama added Fabric and patterns too. I was so thrilled.

To be honest I can't remember my favorite gift as a child. But I can remember alot of the gifts I gave and how they were received. So I guess even back then giving was more important to me then also.
I also dont remember very much from my childhood. I do remember a doll that stood about 3 ft tall and you take her hand and she would walk with you. I also remember a soft bodied baby doll named Tony that my sister and I fought over all the time. Thanks for the generose giveaway.l
The 2 gifts that stand out the most are a "Little Betty" toy sewing machine, which I still have on a shelf in my sewing room to this day. The second was a china tea set, which I also still have except for a couple of pieces, and it is on display in my dining room.
I don't remember much about what I received..but I do remember getting a doll from my grandpa when I was 18. He picked it out himself and I was just to big for a doll. by the way..I still have it
Hi Sandy. I was searching for your Candlelight Candle Mat pattern when I discovered you were also participating in the Blog Hop for QG. I am too. It's so much fun. My favorite gift....well, the one I remember most was a beautiful suede coat when I was an early teen. I thought it was so "cool"! I was never much for toys but books--oh, yeah. Even today a book is a favorite gift to receive.

a few trips to the Thrift store to get just the right ones, he was just out of college and looking for a job, so money was tight.
The best gift I ever received when I was a child were coloring books and a new box of crayons. A simple gift, but it really inspired my creative side...I would color and draw for hours and hours at a time.
The best present I ever received was an Enamelware set with kiln, enamel power and blanks for making pendants, badges - all sorts of things. Goodness only knows what happened to it, but I wish they still made them.
It must have started something in the back of my mind because here am I 40 odd years later creating quilts!
I got a Ginny doll for Christmas one year--years of sewing doll clothes followed
The best Christmas gift came from my mother. I was taking a quilting class for myself. She had never made a quilt herself nor did she ever receive one. She had gone out of her way for me to find me my first pair of Thread Cutters. To me that was so perfect and so special. Thank you so much for the generous sleigh of fabric goodness. Your gift is the envy of all of us quilters. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

I have a horrible memory for things like gifts - but one of my favourites was my Fischer Price Doctor Kit with a stethoscope and everything!

thanks
Lorene
I was all about Barbie when I was a little girl so that would be my fav gift. Thanks!
When I was about to turn 12 I was completly crazy about the dalmatians movie and I was bugging my mom for months saying that I really wanted a dalmatian for my birthday. The morning of my birthday she came and asked if I wanted a really nice present or a birthday party. I choose the present and she came home that evening with a beautiful puppy!

What lovely fabrics! My favorite gift was a sled since living in MN, I enjoy sledding in the winter!
Well, I got the best and the 'worst' gift the same year.. One year I wanted a tractor and a brother or sister.. I got the tractor and about 9 months later I had a sister, and now I sometimes wish that I hadn't asked for a sister ;)

My most memorable Christmas gift as a child was a "real" Barbie! Prior to that day, I only had 'fake' cheapie ones, so I was in 'barbie-heaven'! Thanks for the giveaway chance!

The best present I ever received for Christmas was the game "Mouse Trap." Our whole family loved playing this game and I liked that it made us happy together.
Great giveaway!
The best present I received as a child was Breyer model horses. I was and still am horse crazy. Thankfully, we just recently moved onto a little acreage and someday I can have my first horse.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING A BEAUTIFUL GIVEAWAY!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
Those are so cute, Sandi! Love the blue!!! I think my favorite gift as a child was when I received my Barbie doll. I spent many hours with my friends and their dolls and later made clothes for her myself - my first sewing experience was making clothes for her!
My favorite gift was my toy singer sewing machine....I made clothes for my dolls....guess that began my love of sewing.
The best Christmas gift I ever received was when I was 14. It was a moped. I could ride it to town and buy fabric with my lawn mowing money and make clothes. That is when I started to sew. Now, in my 40's, I just started quilting. Thanks for the chance to win your giveaway. Happy holidays.
Mom made a quilt for my dolly one year. I still have it! That's probably my favorite gift.

One of my favorite photos of me is in a jumper that my sister had sewn for me to wear to school. Love those memories.
Thank you for the great give away!
Merry, Merry,
My favorite was a disc of old photographs that had been scanned.

Every Christmas was special. I cannot remember one particular present. Although I still love the smell of new baby dolls and the inside of books.
I loved my new pj's every Christmas.
I can't remember the gifts that much but I know that I love to read the cards my mom gives me with my presents. I love to read them and I think I still have all of them !!
Oh, I love Jacquelynne's fabrics!! The best thing I ever got when I was little was Malibu Barbie's Camper. My Barbie's and Ken went everywhere in that thing! I still have it and it's really wore out but I've just got too many memories in it to chuck it out.
I was a teenager when may parents got me a guitar for Christmas. I was amazed 'cause it was such a surprise. Thanks for the chance to win.
Oh how lovely, thank you! I'm loving finding all these new quilty blogs :)
My favourite Christmas present as a kid was a bike - my parents did a whole scavenger hunt thing where we had to follow the clues to rooms in the house until eventually we walked into their bedroom where mum was waiting with the bikes and a camera!
My best gift was my sister for Christmas when I was 12!
I love the giveway fabric and sleigh! thank you for the chance to win.
My two sisters and I always got to pick out a doll out of the Sears & Roebuck toy catalog. And my grandmother would have all the gifts bought and wrapped under her tree when we came for Thanksgiving. I never knew till I was older that Santa didn't give us the dolls we loved so much..but Mimi and Bampy bought them for us. My favorite dolls that I can remember were Tippy Toes, Giggles and Crissy with the growing hair.
My favorite present was the year I got a bike and my dad rode it home on Christmas Eve from the hardware store.
Moved me to tears, thinking about this..I have some good gifts but I think the Christmas just befor my Dad died was the best on ever..and we stayed in a caravan at the back of my grandparents and every single moment of that Christmas was precious, you know?
My favorite gift was a little Zenith transistor radio in a tan leather case. I loved that radio and listened to it right up next to my ear every night before I went to sleep. (Couldn't play it very loud in the house anytime, least of all at bedtime!)
When I was a little girl (although I have never been little in size) I wanted to be a ballerina. One Christmas I received a pair of pink bedroom slippers that looked like ballet slippers. I was in seventh heaven!
I received a Nintendo Gameboy from my dad.
Thanks for the generous giveaway!
My most memorable gift was a box of wonders from my great grandmother: woolen boleros of antique pink and aqua, an art deco glass bottle of Nivea lotion, tiny blown glass ampules with perfumes inside, and a handful of old melamine buttons. Lovely!
Great fabrics! What a nice giveaway! My most favorite Christmas gift was a golden ring which I watched for months telling noone about my wish.
Do I need to tell that I still have it?
When I was 8 or 10 my Dad gave me a little figurine trinket box. It was something he picked out himself, and you know how men are about doing that LOL. When my youngest daughter (now 31)was around that age she asked if she could set it on HER dresser for awhile.I admonished her to be VERY careful because it meant a great deal to me. It was misplaced, through no fault of hers, for nearly 25 years. I searched and searched for it to no avail. This past summer, said daughter was up in the attic searching for some of her things and happened to find it! Neither one of us can figure out how it got up there but after a good bath my little lady is back where she belongs....on MY dresser!
Absolutely love the fabric...thanks for being so generous...my favorite memory...a tape recorder...see I thought I was the next Diana Ross...so I taped myself singing...to say the least...I am a bookkeeper now...enough said....Merry Christmas.
Hi Sandi,
I love the fabric and panel. The gift I remember as a child was really the beginning of a collection. It was a "Storybook" doll. I don't remember the character and the doll is gone, but it was a fun gift.

I remember as a teen getting my own phone line. I thought it was absolute heaven!
My favorite gift was a bicycle!
my best gift was a pedal car.
Good question, I enjoyed reading the others comments. Mine was a plastic hutch with a pink tea set. Amazing how I can remember that, but not what I was doing yesterday! larmenti@bellsouth.net
my favourite present was my loft bed, I went to bed in the normal one and woke up having to climb the ladder down.
good question, really made me think. I remember being delighted with a Tiny Tears doll. It cried and wet itself. the concept seems a bit weird to me now!
My favorite present was a 8 inch toy horse. It wound up, bend in the middle and moved like it was galloping. I was so horse crazy and my Mom (aka Santa) always made sure I had some kind of horse even if Santa couldn't bring the real thing for me. I've never seen a toy like that one. I was a 12 or 13 at the time! That's when I really learned about how fun it is to find the right gift.
Oh, I remember the ice skates, the rink my Dad made in our back yard, and the matching sweater and hat set my Mom knit that I wore. I was a very lucky little girl! Thanks for the chance to win these wonderful fabrics. Merry Christmas!
My favorite was a bouncing horse, I would ride him for hours, dragging him outside when the weather was good, or in front of the living room windows when it was bad. Boy, I loved him.
My favorite Christmas gift was my first Barbie doll.
A stuffed bear that my mother named beary-rella, after my favorite movie, Cinderella.
What a beautiful give a way!
My favorite gift is handmade, anything hand made. The time it took someone to do it, makes it special to me!
I have so many pictures from my childhood that are very similar to the one on the top of your blog! My Mom always made all our the clothes for herself, my sisters and me, and we were always dressed alike! She would usually do a *little* something to make each outfit unique, but it was always either the same pattern, or the same fabrics! Such sweet memories! :-) My favorite gift that I can remember was a very simple little doll that Santa brought to me. I named him Timmy, and played with him and loved him for many, many years... Thank you for the chance to win your awesome prize!!!! Crossing my fingers! :-)
Oh, how I love Jacquelynne's fabrics!! OK, this is going to sound a little wierd, but I remember getting a set of styrofoam Flintstones building blocks and some horse statues one year, and I have always remembered the fun that I had, making forts and stables and corrals for the little horsies! I would pretend they were lost and leave a trail of Cheerios to lead them back home. Of course, I ate them as I moved the horsie along! LOL Good times!
I would love to win the panel, my step daughter collect snowmen, I just made her a panel with a snowman holding packages with birds
The best gift I ever received as a child was a pocket watch from my grandpa that didn't work. I loved that thing. Thanks for the chance to win your yummy fabric!

Oh, I'd have to say my Chatty Kathy was the best gift I ever rec'd!! I still have her!
I don't know if it was the best gift, but the most memorable was a nintendo that I got, because I wanted it so bad but really didn't think I'd get it. SUCH a surprise for my brother and I!

I was one of seven children. One memorable Christmas was the one where all our gifts were purchased with green stamps. I got a stuffed dog I named Fido and he was my best friend for years. Didn't take much in those days huh?
