Another wooly project is on the line! You've seen this one before but I've never hung it on the line. It has a whole different look when it is on the line and speckled with sunshine.............
It's a vintage piece that I shared just a few months ago. If you go here, you can read about the origin of this piece. If you're a regular reader of my blog, you may have already guessed that it's another piece that my mother and dad bought at auction. Someone else may have started it but I am going to finish it. So far, the only item I've stitched on here is the little basket and that's because the wooly work that I've been doing lately is stitching on the pincushion bases. Show and tell on Michele's round robin pincushion base will be one day next week. In the meantime, I'm taking this piece along to my retreat this weekend so that when I want to relax with some handwork......voila, there it will be. :-)
I am going to be super busy preparing for the retreat this week so I may not post much. I am a wee bit behind for two very good reasons. My computer has been sick and is still not quite well so that preoccupied my husband most of the weekend. Thank goodness he understands all this computer stuff! I am also kinda "under the weather". In part, I'm just plain tired. Kaiser the Wonder Beagle keeps me hopping with his allergy issues. Two nights in a row he's had a tummy ache and had to go outside so he could wander in the grass. At least he's smart enough to want to go outside. I've probably said this before but he's like having a perpetual toddler!
Remember that I said that I had a plan for "What's on the line?" as the weather turns colder, then snowy? Well, yesterday afternoon, I decided that in spite of not really feeling the greatest that I would take photos of quilts "on the line". I got the idea a couple of weeks ago that when we got the next nice day, that I would take pictures of a whole bunch of the smaller quilts that I've made. I now have enough photos of quilts on the line to last til April 1st. No foolin'. LOL! This means that every Monday, you can still come by and see what's on the line. It may be cool outside, but you'll see something quilty and also, a bit of warmth and sunshine, too. :-)
Rain is in the forecast for our Monday here in Minnesota. I love rain so it will make me feel better. It always does. :-) Have a good Monday......rain or shine!

WOW....you have enough photos to get us through until springtime. THAT makes me happy (as you know I dread winter...LOL) Have fun preparing for your retreat!
Clothesline fun - fun for us all.
Retreat - hmmm - sounds like preparation for a good time.
I love the colors and design of that quilt. Was it all hand-sewn together? Such a wonderful bit of funkiness.
I always enjoy seeing what's on theh line, so I'm glad you're continuing it. You're a lot more organized than I am, to be able to have photos ready to last until spring.
I'm sorry to hear you are not feeling very well Sandi. Don't over do, get some good sleep (if Keiser will let you) and enjoy the retreat :0)
Crispy
Are those pieces all wool and you are embellishing them? I like it!!1
Yeah...I am so glad that we won't have to miss the line posts!!!!
Hope you are feeling better and I hope the computer is feeling better too.
Sandi, I am sure when you are done with it, it will be absolutely beautiful!!!
Have a great retreat!
What a great idea to take your photos of the quilts on the line while it is still good weather! It will be enjoyable to look at your pretty quilts all winter. I like the crazy patch you have for us today. It sure is colorful.
That is really a neat clothesline wool quilt.
Hi Sandi,
just to let you know, mail is probably very slow, so we just have to be patient. with kind regards, Caro
Great wooly quilt. I can hardly wait to see what all you do with it!
I hope you are feeling better soon. Rest and take care of yourself.
I am so excited that you took all those photos to keep us all happy on Mondays thru the winter. :)
