These are pretty enough to be on some notecards. And the ones below are pretty, too, but I like the little table and chair set even better. :-)
I was on the pain meds that weekend so I was feelin' no pain, just the numb heel thing which was bothering me so I kind of walked with a limp. My heel is still a bit numb but I can walk almost normally now.
In case you are wondering what I sewed today, it was a St. Patrick's Day/March block that will go with the ones you see below. I stitched these up the week before the leg pain hit me. I had signed on for the Calendar Challenge and always intended to do a crazy quilt wallhanging of monthly blocks. I printed out my blocks in January and finally got started in June. I should be done by December of 2010! hee hee! The blocks are 6 1/2" squares and I will embroider messages in the solid section and then I have chosen lots of buttons to embellish the squares with once the blocks are assembled into a quilt top. It was nice to sew today, even if it was just one 6 1/2" square!
I also got started on a little pincushion but had to quit as the pain in my leg was returning just a bit. Don't want to push my luck!
I got preliminary results of my MRI and it was not quite the news I was hoping for. I knew that I had disc problems at L4 and L5 in my lower back but I also showed damage in L2 and L3. Treatment options will be discussed when I see the Orthopedic doctor again this Wednesday morning. I feel like this is dragging on a long time but maybe that's just because I would rather be doing a lot of quilty and crafty things instead of going to the doctor. Taking it one day at a time..........
That's all for tonight..........I guess you could say......."The NightOwl is back!"

Please don't push yourself and don't rush it. You want to continue to improve and not slide backwards. Get yourself a good book ( a nice steamy romance) and read and rest
my grandparents had a similar table in their kitchen as well as the green dishes.those flowers are lovely! rest and get well.
I agree with Kaye...don't attempt to do too much too soon, okay? I enjoyed seeing the photos you posted today! (Gotta get back to doing stuff with little Jessi now!)
So pleased that the "Night Owl" is back! Hope the "owl" remembers to pace itself. Your Crazy Quilt blocks are lovely.

I'm glad things are getting better and hopefully no surgery is in your future, just some physical therapy. Take care,

Thank goodness you are feeling somewhat better - hopefully progress will speed up. Please take care!
I can imagine how discouraged you must be with your progress. It seems like anything that forces us to slow down is a disaster.
I'm hoping that the doctor will be giving you some good news for treatment tomorrow morning. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, Sandi.
Sandi, I am glad you are starting to feel better. I hope you can do some therapy to clear it all up. Like others have said, don't overdo it. Take care of yourself.

I am glad that you now have a name for your problem. Now you have two avenues for help: your doctors' advice and trying to figure out if there are certain motions or activities that trigger the pain or make it worse. I have not had surgery for my back. I do have medications and I have learned some of the triggers to avoid. Sometimes I can identify the feelings that come just before the triggers kick in and can usually stop before it gets very bad. Of course, there are days when nothing helps but some rest.
The owl lady is glad to hear a hoot from the Night Owl and happy to send a hoot back.
So happy to hear that you have been able to do a little of the fun stuff again! Take it slow and easy so you don't end up back where you were three weeks ago!
Love the flower picture... shutterfly makes nice pictures into nice notecards for not too much $. I have used them before and was very pleased with how my own photograph looked on a notecard!
Take care and keep getting better!

Good to hear from you.. take care...love the table..
Glad to hear you're feeling somewhat better! I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed that your Dr appt goes well.
My goodness! You are a go-getter! You ought to slow down and get the proper rest. It saddens my heart to hear of your pain. Your blocks are really nice. I wish I had the talent to do that so easily.
Please take it easy. I will say a prayer for you.
I'm glad that you are getting better. If you haven't got pain I can recommend you the waterfittness. Your back will be stronger.I tried.
I hope that you get better soon, and as everyone else is saying, don't push yourself too hard.

Yeah Sandi, glad to hear you are once again among the sitting. Now you just have so much to catch up on!
I just finished a nice easy read "The Hearts of Horses" by M Gloss. Set in the early 1900's in Oregon. Easy fast and not too deep.

It is hard when we don't feel up to our old selves. Take it easy. Sweet photos.
