What's on the line?

Uh, oh! There is nothing "on the line" today. That would be because my tabletopper project is still at my sewing machine............
I was so sure I could get it finished and "on the line" today but a couple things made that impossible. First thing.........it really helps to have the right color of thread for quilting. I was sure I had a varigated autumn color spool of thread but it is not to be found. Second thing.........there was no time to go shopping for thread last week as I was busy with setting up a Silent Auction event at our church. Finished that up on Friday night and then spent Saturday with my friends, Laura and Sharon, for a "Quilting/Lunch Day-Out" over in New Ulm, MN. We had a great time and will share photos in my next post. And when we were shopping at Spinning*Spools*Quilt*Shop, I found a gold varigated thread by Aurifil that will look very nice on this tabletopper.  So, on Sunday, I thought about machine quilting my tabletopper and got as far as my sewing machine with it. But then I thought again and decided I was too tired. When I'm tired, I make mistakes and I do not want to make mistakes on this piece. I'm going to take my time on the topper but it will be done so I can use it at Thanksgiving. Look for it "on the line" on November 19, just before Turkey Day!
Now............I'll bet some of you might be wondering who won the fabric kit for this tabletopper? And the answer is Sharon at Dancing*Thru*Threads!  Congrats to Sharon!
Back to my sewing projects now............
Have a good Monday and a great week!
Sandi

  1. Omgosh I cannot believe I won. It is a beautiful tabletopper. I was telling my dh that I saw a tabletopper today that looked 3D like the leaves were falling from the sky.. Thank you so much Sandi, I am going to try really hard to finish it before thanksgiving.

  3. Love what's "on your machine"!!! Quite white outside here at the moment...the higher elevations in S.E. MN managed some of the white stuff this morning instead of all rain as was predicted! Typical for an election day, I must say!

  5. Hey, don't stress not having it fully completed. We all know how life gets in the way of our plans. I have that happen daily myself since one of our adult children and his family have moved back home for awhile. lol

I love your table topper. It's just gorgeous.
