An Anniversary Giveaway!

Today is our 44th wedding anniversary. I thought I'd add one more giveaway to this week of giveaways in celebration of this day!  This is another panel and fabrics from Jacquelynne's fabric line "Joy~Peace~Love~Noel". It will go to one lucky winner..........

Last summer, I gave one of the stocking panels to my quilting friend, Jackie, and here's what she made for her grandson, Baxter.............

It's adorable, isn't it?!! And all you have to do for a chance to win the stocking panel and fabrics is leave your name and tell me this...............if you had a pet reindeer, what name would you give it?  If I had a pet reindeer, it's name would be Lizzy. That's right. Lizzy. Now get busy and leave a comment with your pet reindeer's name. I'm looking for some good humor here.  Good Luck! Winner will be announced on November 28th about 8:00 p.m.  ;-)
Have a good day!
Sandi

Happy Anniversary!! Growing up hearing Gene Autrey singing "Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer", I guess I would have to stick with 'Rudy'....no cleverness here!! That stocking panel is adorable and would go to great grand daughter most definitely!

The reindeer's name is Blitzed. He is Blitzen's cousin, but he hit the spiked eggnog a bit to hard, and so he is never allowed to fly. We take care of him.

Happy Anniversary!!

I would call him Moose. I've always liked pets named after wrong animals. Our first dog was named Bear. Happy Anniversary!

If I had a pet reindeer I would name it Daryl. We have a trio of stuffed Hallmark reindeer, and their names are Larry, Daryl and Daryl after the brothers from the old Bob Newhart show.

I don't know why, but Fred popped into my mind. And then I remembered that my brother called our favorite teacher Fred "Derf". So Derf it would be.

Happy anniversary!!! I would name my pet reindeer after Mom and Dad's (Judy and Roger Smith's)real pet deer they feed at their back door. Her name is Maisie, not sure how or why they came up with that name, but it sure fits her to a tee. She does not move from her positon at 3 feet away from the door when they open it to throw her more bread. She also brings her baby up, but usually doesn't share with her baby the bread. You can tell the baby is well fed from Maisie though, it is larger than the other babies in the yard.

plettfI4614Happy Anniversary!! As someone asked, "You've been married for 44 years? To the same person?" Sadly it is not that common anymore and therefore doubly special.

My reindeer would be Marta - doesn't she sound friendly and practical?
