Happy Mother's Day!

Last summer my mother gave me some cards and papers she had saved from when I was a young girl. This is a Mother's Day card that I made for her, probably when I was about 8 or 9. It's made of construction paper, the staple of every kid's art projects. :-)

I love their little cotton tails.
And inside the card, I wrote...........

Sometimes I still make cards to send to my mom but this year I bought one. Actually, I bought two......one with butterflies that I found first and mailed. Then I found one with little bears and so I bought it and mailed it, too.  I'm going home in a couple weeks so will take her out to lunch then. In the meantime, I ordered a subscribtion to Good Old Days magazine for her. She got her first issue this past Thursday. By today, she had read the whole thing and said she enjoyed every article. I subscribed to it, too, as I love reading about what must have been......the "Good Old Days".  :-)

Happy Mother's Day to all of you......mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, cousins, friends who are mothers to you and more!

I love that card and how nice that your mother gave it back to you so you could treasure it, too.
