I goofed....

Yep, I goofed. I am only just learning about this pre-posting thing which allows you to type your blogpost and then set a time that you want it to be displayed. Sometime after midnight on Sunday night, I finished typing my Monday post. Then I clicked "publish post" and forgot that I wanted to have it post with a Monday header and date. After all, it was all about Monday being Washday, right? Well, about five minutes ago, I discovered my mistake. I posted it with the Sunday header instead of preposting it for Monday. Each time we make a mistake we learn from it, right? That means that next Monday, I will post on Monday which is Washday and you will see what I have "on the line".
At first, I couldn't figure out what had happened. I thought I might have entered "The Twilight Zone". Monday was missing!! That reminds me..........I wasn't allowed to watch that show when I was a kid. It was deemed "too scary". How about you, if you had a TV were you allowed to watch ..... or not?
Thunderstorms are in the area so I am going to shut down the computer until they pass.................
Sandi

A little edit......thanks to Mary Grace at Hooked on Needles, I now know that I can also correct a date on a post. Still learning..........

do do do do... do do do do Sorry Sandi, just had to do the theme from the Twilight Zone. From your lesson I will now go and learn how to prepost, didn't realize you could do that. Thanks.

Hi and greetings from Western Australia. I remember being allowed to watch Dr Who in the early sixties, but hiding behind the couch because it was sooo scary! I also remember my Mum and Dad going to see the Planet of the Apes movie, that was rated X, and being told it was really, really scaring. Not that long after it was a kid's series on TV. How times change. Sam (Sandra)

I love being able to pre-schedule posts! I know I watched Twilight Zone, but I'm not sure how old I was when I began to watch it. I enjoyed it then, but I am not a fan of scary TV shows or movies now......don't watch them at all now.

I remember friends talking about what they weren't allowed to watch, but I could never contribute. You see, my father decided that I would do better in school if we did not have a television, so I only saw the shows when visiting. The week after I graduated from high school, he bought a used television.

I love to schedule my posts. When we traveled a couple of weeks ago, I pre-scheduled some posts to appear on my blog. It's fun and amazing to be able to do that. And yes I remember my Mom would not let me watch Twilight Zone. I did watch a few of them, and they were seared in my mind. It taught me that my Mom knew best for her child ;-)

My parents weren't so strict. We had a local station that had Nightmare Theater and all the kids would come to our house to watch. In those really tense moments of the movies Dad would shout Bwahahaha and scare the bejeebers out of all of us....we loved it!!

I must learn how to pre-schedule - haven't tried that yet!
I was 'allowed' to watch Twilight zzzzzzzzone - which was on late at night in the early or mid 50's when it first started - so if it was not scary I would fall asleep and wake up in my bed! Most of the themes were beyond my maturity level at the time, BUT, I remember the episode where they didn't show any faces all through the episode and when they took the bandages off the "hideously ugly" woman and she was normal, and then they panned around to all these pig-faced people... That one is a classic!

Sandi, you can fix that by editing the post and changing the publish date. Then it will have Monday's date on it. Not that it really matters. We all enjoyed it regardless of the date!

Enjoyed your post no matter what the header said. I remember Monday being wash day at our house. I remember clotheslines. My Mom used to then sprinkle the clothes with water, roll them up and then iron them the next day.
We weren't allowed to watch The Munsters ( although we watched The Adams Family??). Bedtime was eight pm so we didn't see much prime time.

Way back when, I lived in a bedsit in London with my mum...and at the time, we had a b&w portable tv in the kitchen/lounge room of our two roomed bedsit....and if there was a horror movie on, I'd get sent to bed...and mum couldn't work out why I could tell her most of what had happened in the movie....I'd found out that the movie could be heard on our transistor radio (don't ask me how but it did) and I would listen to the movie....once she found that out I was allowed to watch them as well as listen....lol Hugs Naomi
